hiatus.
I might as well just admit it. I'm going to take a hiatus from blogging. Sorry, friends, but I'm just not feeling it right now, and I make it a personal policy to try not to do anything (that's not mandatory in life) that I'm not really into.I think I'll be back in a while. There's certainly still knitting going on. But lately I just don't feel like cataloguing it all, blogging, reading all the blogs. I'm tired of watching the way certain things catch on and suddenly everyone seems to be making the exact same thing in the exact same colour. I'm tired of reading the sycophantic worship of a handful of "major" knit bloggers. I'm feeling a general malaise with the blog world, and I need a break.
So, a blog vacation for me. I'll likely be back soon.
For now, take care...

I'm having a similar blog malaise feeling right now. I feel like the blogging is stealing time from everything else; it's been a relief to not blog for the last little while.
If it means anything, might I suggest reading Finnish blogs? They're a bit fresher and tend not to be as "here's my 4th Monkey" as the US ones.
come visit me!
I hear you. Keep in touch.
Big hug!

Take care and stay well!!
Very sad. I'll miss your blog :( Keep in touch!
You take care of you, too, Kate. We'll be here when you get back.
I definitely get that tired feeling every now and again. At the same time, I'm usually getting inspiration from all the knitbloggers, major and minor alike.
Like Ellie said, we'll be here when you get back. :)
Totally with you on not doing it if you're not feeling it. I haven't posted on mine in over a month, and while I'm gearing up to get back to the blog, it was a good thing I took the time off.
I'll miss you, sweetie. You're fun to read.
Same here. I actively dislike the "bandwagon" entries that all detail the same stuff at the same time.
Perhaps it's the huge growth of knitting/blogging that's made it less special?
In any event, hope you feel like coming back soon.
Take care, Kate! You'll be missed.
Achange is as good as a rest. Have some fun, kick back and relax! Later, baby!
I can definitely relate - and most of all, I think that you're very smart and intuitive to stop if you're not into something - I try not to do anything at all in life I can't be passionate about. It doesn't always work out that way, but sometimes.
I know what you mean... I've been feeling blog-blah lately... but I still like blogging, and I know I would never keep track of all my knits otherwise. I will miss your blog, and I hope you come back soon-!
Was thinking about you today and wondering how you are. Hope you are well!
